Timothy G. Hawthorn

Timothy Guy Hawthorn, of Hot Springs, Ark., born on April 8, 1968, in Russellville, Ark., passed on to be with Jesus on July 28, 2023. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He grew an amazing garden and loved to tend to his bees. Tim also loved to read and enjoyed building and creating things. Tim attended Sparkman grade school and graduated from Cutter Morning Star High School. After high school, Tim served in the United States Army for three years. Throughout his career, he worked for Harvey's Engineering and as a supervisor for the anodizing metal department at Chem Fab.

Tim was blessed with two amazing sons and loved his wife, Tonja. Tim was also blessed with three grandchildren: Caleb, Rylea and Kayson. Caleb was waiting already for him in Heaven. We know that the two of them had a great reunion. He was the oldest of five kids and was an incredible older brother and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Caleb; grandparents, Guy and Ella Hawthorn; and grandparents, Clarence and Lavergne Kight.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tonja Hawthorn; son, Kord Dwello and wife, Lynzie, and their children, Rylea and Kayson; son, Jonathon Hawthorn. He is also survived by his parents, Gilbert and Beverly Hawthorn of Manning, Ark.; sister, Jennifer and husband, Terry Rowton of Hot Springs, Ark.; sister, Tina and husband, David Murphy of De Kalb, Texas; brother, Jared and wife, Darah Hawthorn of Hot Springs; and brother, Justin and wife, Jessica Hawthorn of Bells, Texas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Ark., from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023.

Services will follow at Smith Family Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, with a graveside service to follow at Delamar Cemetery in Manning, Ark.

Pallbearers are Kord Dwello, Jonathon Hawthorn, Jared Hawthorn, Justin Hawthorn, Ethan Sutton, Eli Rowton and Hayes Murphy. The honorary pallbearers are Barry Sutton, Garry Sutton, David Orrell, Jim Blackwood, Anthony Dwello, Richard Dwello and Dwight Dwello.
